A Day At The Souks

We spent a little over a week in Marrakech, and my most favorite day was spent wandering around shopping at the souks. The souks are a very large market in the center of the medina within the old city. We had absolutely no agenda (which rarely happens on work trips) and popped in and out of shops finding trinkets and souvenirs to take home to friends and family. The stores are filled with incredible handmade pottery, spices, gorgeous rugs, metal lanterns, shoes, and more. Suffice it to say, we did not go home empty handed!

One of the most common questions I have received, which I will be addressing further in my Marrakech city guide, was regarding wardrobe for women. What is and is not appropriate in a Muslim country. Since I knew we would be out and about, I wore this dress by Spell and the Gypsy Collective, which covered my shoulders and knees. It was the perfect dress to be comfortable and covered up enough, while still staying true to my style!Lo-Murphy-Red-Dress-Marrakech-Souks-Spell-Byron- Bay-Travel-Style-Revolve-Dress
