When it comes to Self-Portrait dresses, I can’t help but twirl! This lace midi dress has been one of my favorite and most worn pieces for years now. Not only did I wear it during pre-wedding and bridal events, I have since taken it on multiple trips and worn it on many other occasions. I even own it in a second color (it’s the ideal wedding guest dress)! Although it is an investment piece, it’s simply timeless and one of my most treasured dresses. If you aren’t wanting to break the bank, I also found these four very similar options for a fraction of the price (here, here, here, and here).

One of my “must visit” stops while we were in London was the Peggy Porschen Parlour. I have been following the pretty pink sweet shop for a long time now on Instagram and couldn’t wait to see it in person! We were pleasantly surprised that the cupcakes were even better tasting than they looked (which was tough to top!). Charles’ favorite was the vanilla rice crispy treat while mine was the chocolate heaven. Although it was a dreary and rainy day in London, we had such a fun time at the Parlour sipping on our coffees and enjoying some cake for breakfast!
It’s finally Friday!! This has seemed like a never ending week but I am so excited the weekend is almost here. We are lounging, unpacking, recovering from jet-lag, and cooking at home. What are your weekend plans?
I’m sharing a casual Friday look for you all today with ripped jeans and this Chicwishcrochet top! The oversized fit is comfortable and flowy, ideal for weekend activities. You may be thinking that crochet seems like more of a vintage fabric, but this Chicwish top is such a modern take on it! The peplum detail would also layer perfectly over white jeans or a skirt. I also love how the fresh grey hue is a bit unexpected yet perfectly appropriate for spring! I decided to pair it with neutral accessories but brights would also add such a fun pop of color (think hot pink, teal, or cobalt blue!). This is definitely one of those tops that I’ll wear over and over, styling it differently every time.
