I am a big fan of when designers partner with less expensive, more accessible retail chains. If there is a new collaboration being released in my city, you can probably catch me there an hour before the doors open, with a coffee in hand, ready to peruse the designer duds. I have attended the Isabel Marant for H&M, Missoni for Target in Los Angeles (nightmare on La Cienega Blvd), and 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target, to name a few.
My tips for you when attending this sort of frenzy are to wake up a little earlier than necessary, be patient, friendly to others, and most importantly browse the collection online beforehand so that you have an idea of what pieces you are most interested in.
