My Baby Registry

walmart-baby-registry-lo-murphyCreating my baby registry was much more stressful and confusing than I could have ever anticipated! As a first time mom, I really did not know what I needed, what brands to buy, or any of the lingo associated with different baby products. For that reason, I asked a dear friend to show me the ropes to all things baby! I was so thankful for her guidance and want to do the same for you all today. Hopefully this can serve as a little outline to all of the future moms-to-be and help you to create your dream registry!

Below I am breaking down my baby registry with Walmart and sharing what categories and items are essential for creating your own baby registry. From big items like a stroller or crib, to everyday essentials like diapers, I’ve got you fully covered! Walmart makes it easy to shop for upcoming baby showers, order items to be delivered to your house in two days (a life saver for new moms!), or create a registry of your own. When you sign up to make your own, Walmart asks a few short questions and then generates a custom list of what items you may want/need. It’s super easy to navigate plus you won’t find better deals!

Strollers + Car Seats

While it is completely up to you and your budget, I’ve included some below that are popular and/or have great customer reviews. Travel systems and running strollers are something to think about, too!

Diapers + Wipes

Diapers and wipes are THE most important everyday essential. They are used on a daily basis (and a lot of them!!). Every mom has her recommendation of which diapers to pick but ultimately, you will figure out what works best for your baby. I registered for a few different brands including Honest Diapers, Pampers Swaddlers, and Pampers Pure.  to give them all a fair test run once Murphy arrived. While we were in the hospital they used Huggies Little Snugglers which have become our favorite. But again, I can’t recommend enough trying different brands and finding your likes and dislikes. Since leaving the house can be tough with a newborn, I love that Walmart has free 2-day delivery on most of these diapers so they can be at your front door in no time, hassle free!

Same goes for wipes. It is your choice what wipes you would like to use but these are a great item to have on your registry since you use multiple per diaper change. I registered for these and these. Oh, and don’t forget a diaper pail!

Gear

When I say “gear” I am talking about things like bouncers/rockers, playmats, activity centers, bassinets, and more. Below are some of the items that were included on my registry.

Nursery

Did you know Walmart has bassinets, cribs, rockers, and dressers? It’s literally a one stop shop for all of your baby needs. This is the crib mattress I registered for and it has been wonderful thus far. And how adorable is this changing station? I love it paired with this crib! A couple of other important pieces for the nursery include a sound machine, changing pad, and a rocker/glider!

Feeding + Nursing

For feeding and nursing, here are a few of the important ones: pump, bottles, milk storage, highchair, bibs, and nursing pads!

Clothing

Walmart has so many cute clothes for newborns! Your little one will be in and out of onesies, so I recommend registering for a number of onesies and basic must-haves (socks, hats, mittens, etc.). Sleep sacks and swaddles are other great clothing items that will come in handy daily!
